ingredients
- 1 (3 ounce) package jell-o salad gelatin or (3 ounce) package lime Jell-O gelatin
- 1 cup boiling water
- 1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
- 1 1⁄2 tablespoons vinegar
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt (optional)
- 1 dash pepper

for extra flavor
- Tabasco sauce or prepared horseradish (optional)

Possible Barbecue Salad additions
- 1⁄4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 cup cottage cheese
- 1 (3 ounce) package cream cheese, soften
directions
- Dissolve Jell-O Gelatin in boiling water.
- Add remaining ingredients.
- Pour into individual molds or 1-quart mold.
- Chill until firm.
- Unmold on crisp greens.
- Makes about 2 1/2 cups or 5 side salads or 6 to 8 servings.
