1 3/4 liter of liqueur

  • 2 lbs dried apricots
  • 1 34 liters vodka
  • 4 cups sugar

directions

  • Put all the ingredients in a jar and seal tightly.
  • Place in a cool dark spot and steep for 3 months.
  • Strain and let apricots drain.
  • The apricots can later be used to dip in chocolate.

  2. I was given this recipe last summer... just enough time for me to make and sample before giving out at Thanksgiving and Christmas. I loved the syrupy goodness!!! The apricots were also very sweet and tender. I have not tried them dipped in chocolate, but they were very well received after we sampled them at our Christmas dinner! The golden color liqueur made for a simple yet elegant gifts when bottled and tied with a ribbon... Thanks for sharing!!!
