BASE
- 1⁄2 cup butter
- 1⁄3 cup sugar
- 1 cup flour
- 1⁄2 cup strawberry jam or 1/2 cup raspberry jam

FILLING
- 250 g cream cheese, softened
- 1⁄2 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1⁄2 teaspoon vanilla

TOPPING
- 4 cups apples, peeled, cored and sliced
- 1⁄3 cup sugar
- 1⁄2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1⁄2 cup slivered almonds

BASE:
- Cream together butter and sugar; add flour and stir until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Press into bottom of and one-inch up sides of the 9-inch square springform pan. Spread jam on the bottom crust.

FILLING:
- Mix the filling ingredients until smooth and spread evenly over base.

TOPPING:
- Top apple slices with sugar and cinnamon and arrange gently over filling. Sprinkle slivered almonds over the top. Place.
- Place springform pan on a baking sheet and bake in a preheated 400F oven for 10 minutes. Reduce heat to 350F and continue baking for 30 minutes or until apples are tender. Cool, serve with whipped cream or ice cream.

<br>I guess the dish that I am famous for is my Christmas ham - my family all comes home for Christmas, and if i don't have my ham they are dissapointed, and my grandson wants the pistachio squares!!! so I guess that is the dishes that I'm famous for.
