- 6 -10 tart apples
- 3⁄4 cup flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1⁄3 cup butter
- 1 unbaked 9-inch pie crust (Pilsbury refrigerated ones work great)
directions
- Pare apples and cut into thick slices.
- Combine 1/2 cup sugar with cinnamon and 1 heaping tablespoon flour and mix with apples. Put in unbaked pie shell.
- Blend remaining flour, sugar and butter. Work into small crumbs.
- Sprinkle crumbs over apples.
- Bake in a hot oven, 425, for 10 minutes, then lower temperature to 350 and bake 35 minutes more.
