DIRECTIONS

  • Use your crock pot, stove or instant pot.
  • Carmelize onion in bacon grease or butter. When done, stir in minced garlic, and cook until fragrant.
  • Cut sausage lengthwise in half, then cut those in half lengthwise again. Next cut them into 1/2-inch chunks. Place in crock pot. Pour carmelized onions over sausage.
  • After scrubbing potatoes, cut them into 1/2-inch dices, add to crock pot. Next add bouillon cubes and water.
  • Cover, and let cook on low 4 hours. Check to make sure potatoes are cooked through.
  • Stir in heavy cream, at least one cup. More may be needed.
