My mom was a WW lecturer in the early 70s and this was one of my favorite recipes. It did have tomato juice in the original ( Sacramento was my choice). Originally it used red wine vinegar as the sour. I have lost the original recipe and don't remember how much. My favorite way to make it is to omit the vinegar from the pot and then add a different vinegar to each bowl I dish up. Chocolate balsamic was a recent excellent choice.
Will this recipe make rolls instead of bread
I substituted whole wheat ritz crackers because that's what I had and it was still delicious.
