Yorkshire pudding is a popular staple in England. My grandfather's family is from Wales and the simple recipe was handed down from my great grandmother.

Ingredients Nutrition

Directions

  1. Pre-heat oven to 425 degrees.
  2. Put margarine in glass pie plate and place in oven while it pre-heats.
  3. With an electric mixer beat together eggs and milk.
  4. Slowly add flour and salt to egg/milk mixture.
  5. Beat until smooth.
  6. Remove pie plate from oven and swirl melted margarine around bottom and sides of pie plate.
  7. Pour pudding mixture into pie plate and bake for 25 minutes.
  8. Cut and serve immediately.
  9. Pudding will fall when you cut it.
  10. Serve with pork/beef roast.
  11. Goes great with gravy!

I liked the taste, but it didn't rise how its supposed to and I followed it to the letter. I have made tones of these in the past and just thought I'd try a simpler recipe. Too bad cause they tasted good.

What a WONDERFUL pudding! It was so very easy and the results were excellent! I used 2 tablespoons of beef drippings instead of margering with great results. Thanks for sharing this recipe!
