Have some apples that you need to do something with soon? Don't feel like making a pie? Enjoy this apple dessert on a hot summer's day. It is refreshing and delicious.
- 6 large apples, grated
- 1 cup sweetened condensed milk
- 3 eggs, divided
- 2 lemons, juice of
- 4 tablespoons sugar

- Combine grated apples, sweetened condensed milk, egg yolks and lemon juice. Pour into a baking dish and pat down.
- Whip the egg whites and sugar into a merangue with soft peaks. Spread merangue over the apple mixture.
- Bake at 350 for 25-30 minutes or until dessert is set and merangue is golden.
- Chill and serve.
