- 907.18 g extra lean ground beef or 907.18 g chili-style ground beef
- 822.13 g crushed tomatoes or 822.13 g tomato sauce
- 822.13 g black beans, with liquid
- 822.13 g chili beans or 822.13 g pinto beans, with liquid
- 1 medium purple onion, diced
- 118.29 ml celery, diced
- 113.39 g green chilies
- 2 medium tomatoes, diced
- 9.85 ml ground cumin
- 44.37 ml chili powder
- 7.39 ml black pepper
- 9.85 ml salt
- 236.59 ml water
directions
- Combine meat,onion, celery, tomatoes (fresh), cumin, chili powder, salt, pepper and cook until meat is done.
- Add beans with liquid, crushed tomatoes, green chiles and water.
- Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to med/low, stirring often for 1 hour.
- Garnish with shredded cheese and fresh onion if desired.
