- 2 (6 ounce) packages noodles, japanese chuka soba (chowmein)
- 1 cup diced onion
- 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1⁄2 cup red bell pepper, diced
- 1 (4 ounce) can canned mushroom slices, drained
- 1 cup broccoli floret
- 2 tablespoons canola oil
- 1 tablespoon sesame seed oil, toasted
- 4 tablespoons ketchup
- 4 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons apple juice
- 1 tablespoon Thai sweet chili sauce
directions
- Mix together the sesame oil, ketchup, soy sauce, apple juice and chili sauce in a small bowl and set aside.
- Heat oil in a large heavy pan over medium high heat.
- Stir in the garlic, ginger and onion. Add the other veggies and stir fry to desired doneness.
- Cook the noodle according to package directions. Add to the stir fry along with the sauce.
- Eat while fresh and warm.
