  • For the cake:.
  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Combine flour, sugar, salt, baking soda, and cocoa powder in large bowl.
  • Make a well in the center then add the vanilla, oil, vinegar, and water.
  • Stir until mixed well.
  • Pour into greased 9x9 baking dish or cupcake pan (will make 8 cupcakes).
  • Bake 30 minutes. Should pass the toothpick test.
  • For the frosting:.
  • Cream the 'butter' in a bowl.
  • Add sugar, cocoa, vanilla, and water to make a thick but spreadable frosting.

  2. Very Moist cake!!! My kids loved it! I used a vanilla butter cream in the center and to frost and it was just amazing. It's so hard to make or find a recipe that does not require anY dairy and still have a great flavor and also be extremly moist! GREAT RECIPE! THANKS FOR SHARING
