Here is my mayonnaise-onion version of the tuna salad kit.
- 1 (7 1/8 ounce) envelope tuna
- 1⁄2 cup mayonnaise
- 1⁄4 cup onion, finely chopped
- 2 tablespoons dried vegetable flakes
- 1⁄2 teaspoon lemon pepper (to taste)
- 1⁄4 cup panko breadcrumbs (Japanese bread crumbs)
- Combine tuna, mayonnaise, onions, vegetable flakes and lemon pepper.
- Fold in panko.
- Chill for a few hours to rehydrate the vegetable flakes.
