Triple Chocolate Kisses

- 2 egg whites
- 1⁄4 teaspoon cream of tartar
- 1⁄2 cup sugar
- 1⁄4 teaspoon almond extract
- 42 milk chocolate kisses
- baking cocoa
directions
- In mixing bowl, beat egg whites until foamy.
- Add cream of tartar; beat until soft peaks form, about 6 minutes.
- Gradually add sugar, beating until stiff peaks form, about 6 minutes.
- Beat in extract.
- Fold in grated chocolate.
- Insert a medium open-star tip in a pastry or plastic bag.
- Fill with meringue.
- On lightly greased baking sheets, pipe 42 1-inch circles.
- Press a chocolate kiss into the center or each.
- Pipe meringue around each kiss in continuous circles from the base to the top until kiss is completely covered.
- Dust with cocoa.
- Bake at 325 F for 15-18 minutes or until the edges are lightly browned.
- Immediately remove to wire racks to cool.

It took me a bit longer than expected to do the piping for these 'kisses' but then I'm not that good or fast with a pastry bag (Though you should hear what I can do with a bagpipe, though not in the kitchen!) ~ Fun to make, as well as VERY NICE TASTING, & devoured in no time by a group of 10! I live in the Pacific Northwest US.

I am in a homeschool orchestra with my cello, and a homeschool chess club.

I want to do running start my last two years of high school, and attend Duke or Stanford or some big college to get my PhD in counseling psychology.

I just recently became a vegetarian. I really would like to become vegan, but my financial resources are very limited right now and I can't afford it. Once I move out of my parents' house and have a job, I'll make the switch.
I am really a very liberal Christian (I'm a theistic evolutionist, a feminist, I accept other religions, and I believe homosexuality is ok), and I'm very vocal about my opinions, which gets me in trouble a lot at the Baptist church I go to.

I hate any war, for whatever reason, and I am thrilled that Obama won. YAY!!!
I'm taken by the most amazing guy ever. Even though we are totally different (I'm Protestant, he's Catholic; I'm a liberal Democrat, he's a conservative Republican; I'm very outgoing and loud; he's typically shy and quiet), I am totally, madly in love with him. Sorry, boys. ;)
