  1. This is my family’s all-time favorite coffee cake. I make it for every holiday breakfast and it couldn’t be more delicious. I have brought it to work and to other gatherings and have never left without at least a couple of people asking me for the recipe, which I gladly give them!

  2. Wonderful! Made this for church "fellowship" time and it was totally devoured. I had lots of compliments on how tasty it was, from young and old alike. Really, you can't go wrong with chocolate for breakfast! lol The only changes I made were to use pecans instead of walnuts and to bake for only 40 minutes (even that might have been a couple minutes too long as the bottom was pretty browned). Thanks for the great recipe!

  3. Good, but watch cooking time, I baked for 45 minutes and it was a bit over done. It is very sweet.

  4. Saw Marg@Cayman's photo in the photo forum and I knew I had to give this a try :) It was GREAT! Nice texture and great taste! Thanks for sharing the recipe :)

  5. Great recipe, this was easy and delicious. I made this for our homestudy catechism night and both the children and adults loved it. I served it slightly warm but it is good cold too. I baked for about 45 minutes but could have taken it out a couple of minutes sooner. I did not add the walnuts because children would be eating this also and you know how children can be about nuts. You could change this recipe up just by changing the nuts and the flavor of the chocolate chips, there are so many flavors to choose from now. Thanks for the great recipe.

I was born and raised in Boston and continue to live here still. I met my hubby in 1986 and we've been together ever since. We have two children and my family is my passion. Pet peeves? Rudeness, laziness, greed, hatred, and bad manners of any kind. And for some reason, I can't stand listening to someone whistle!
