I recently got a bread machine and have been trying loads of recipes. This is the best homemade white bread I ever ate. The whole family loves it! No more store bought bread for us.
- Put the water, sugar, and the yeast in the pan and stir gently. Leave it sit about 10 minutes, until the yeast dissolves.
- Add the oil, flour and salt.
- Use the White Bread setting for a 1 1/2 pound loaf.
I just made this recipe and it turned out great...light and fluffy. I have never made bread before and was happy that my first loaf and recipe turned out so good! My kids are gobbling it up warm with butter...it will never have a chance to cool! Note: I didn't measure the yeast, I used a packet of Hodgson Mill Active Dry Yeast 5/16 oz. size.
