ingredients
- 1 1⁄2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1⁄2 cups whole wheat flour
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 4 eggs
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 cups canned pumpkin
- 1⁄2 cup vegetable oil
- 3⁄4 cup applesauce
- 1 1⁄2 cups chocolate chips
directions
- Preheat oven to 350.
- In a large bowl, combine flours, cinnamon, salt and baking soda.
- In another bowl, beat eggs, sugar, pumpkin, oil and applesauce. Stir into dry ingredients just until moistened. Fold in chocolate chips.
- Pour into 2 greased 8" loaf pans.
- Bake 60-70 minutes Allow to cool 10 mins before removing from pan.
