Creamy poppyseed dressing that they serve on their spinach salad at the famous Tam O'Shanter restaurant on Los Feliz in Glendale, CA.
- 1⁄2 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon dry mustard
- 1 teaspoon grated fresh onion
- 1⁄3 cup cider vinegar
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 cup salad oil
- 1 1⁄2 tablespoons poppy seeds
- Combine first 6 ingredients, sugar thru lemon juice,blend with mixer until the sugar is completely dissolved. With mixer running, slowly add salad oil. Stir in poppy seeds. Store in refrigerator.
