This Pre-1940's recipe included in my “Grandma’s Wartime Edition Cookbook”
- 3 cups flour
- 3⁄4 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons baking powder
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 1⁄2 cups milk (you can use up to 2 cups)
- 2 tablespoons fat, melted
- Combine all dry ingredients and sift.
- Beat eggs, milk and melted fat together.
- Add dry ingredients and beat throughly.
- Place batter in a pitcher.
- Pour on a hot greased griddle.
