Had this recipe in a drawer and it is so easy. Thought I'd post it. It is super quick. I didn't include chilling time to recipe. The texture is like a cross between a smoothie and ice cream. You can pour it into individual graham cracker shells but don't use the big pie shell because it will run if you were to cut it like a pie. It is more liquid than solid. My kids love it! I've used half and half for the cream and splenda for the sugar.
- Put strawberries in a blender and blend until the berries are just mashed up. You may need to add a little of the cream to get the mixture going.
- Add the other remaining ingrediets and blend for 30 seconds or so.
- Put mixture into 4 individual serving dishes and chill.
- When ready serve, add whipped cream if desired.
I tried this on sunday when my kids came up for dinner, i used fresh strawberries, & had to add a bit more sugar as well I would say at least 1 Tablespoon, best to taste it halfway through like 15 seconds. it is easy to make on short notice. We had homeade ice cream on it mmmm good
This is more like a smoothie and is made mostly of strawberries, but it is very creamy due to the heavy cream. I had to add quite a bit more sugar, because our strawberry season is not here yet and the berries are not as sweet. Very delicious. Thanks for posting.
