The recipe for this unusual smoothie was found in the 2008 cookbooklet Taste of Home Smoothies & Other Beverages.
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1⁄2 cup orange juice
- 3 cups frozen strawberries, slightly thawed
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- Place all ingredients in a blender & process for a minute or two until smooth.
- Pour into chilled glasses & serve.
My boys' loved this and Mom did because it was healthy. Great way for me to use up leftover buttermilk. It was gone in no time.
Great stuff. . .knew it would be because I had already tried the 2nd generation of this recipe (that you have posted). After tasting and photographing it, I dumped it back in the blender and tossed in a handful of frozen raspberries that were taking up space in the freezer. AMAZING combo with the strawberries AND raspberries. Thanks for sharing! Made for. . .no reason. . .just because your are my Zaar friend :)
