  1. I sometimes have a hard time finding canned stewed tomatoes at the store. I needed it for a recipe so I used this in place.
     
  2. Made these to go with Recipe #52267 and Recipe #44220. It was a good simple side dish and even though they weren't seasoned the way I usually have them we enjoyed them.
     
  3. I love stewed tomatoes and these were great. I used fresh tomatoes (mixture of roma and round) and it turned out almost soupy. So I went to the store and bought a small can of tomatoes, drained them and dumped them in and Voila. . .perfection! Nice flavor. Will keep this one.

Tweaks

  1. As a southern Marylander, I slowly increased the sugar until it was up to 1 teaspoon. Perfect now!
