Love spinach and this is particularly good!! from Canadian living.
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1⁄2 cup chopped walnuts
- 1 small chopped onion
- 1 (10 ounce) bag fresh spinach, washed and trimmed
- In a large frypan, heat olive oil over medium heat; cook walnuts for 2 minutes.
- Add onion, cook until softened, about 2 minutes.
- Add spinach, in batches; cook until wilted, about 5 minutes.
One of our favorite sides is spinach. This easy recipe makes that spinach shine!! This is really good! The toasted walnuts added a wonderful taste and texture. This is a keeper! Thanks Dorothy.
Derf, this was great! The only addition I made was to add minced garlic with the onion. I love fresh spinach and walnuts, so this side dish was truly a delight. I served it with grilled chicken.
