- 1⁄2 cup butter
- 1⁄2 cup shortening
- 3 cups flour
- 4 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 6 eggs, separated
- 16 ounces sour cream
- 1 1⁄2 cups milk
directions
- Melt shortening and butter.
- Combine dry ingredients in bowl.
- Separate eggs. Place whites in small bowl and beat until stiff. Place yellows in large bowl.
- Add sour cream and milk to yolks and mix.
- Add wet ingredients and melted fat alternately to flour mixture. Beat well.
- Fold in egg white mixture.
- Cook in waffle maker. Freeze extras.
