  • Melt shortening and butter.
  • Combine dry ingredients in bowl.
  • Separate eggs. Place whites in small bowl and beat until stiff. Place yellows in large bowl.
  • Add sour cream and milk to yolks and mix.
  • Add wet ingredients and melted fat alternately to flour mixture. Beat well.
  • Fold in egg white mixture.
  • Cook in waffle maker. Freeze extras.
