directions

  • mix bisquick with water.
  • spread dough.
  • in greased 9x13 pan so edges are 1/2 up sides.
  • combine rest of ingredients.
  • pour into shell.
  • bake in 400 degree oven until edges are golden and knife comes out clean about 25 minutes
  • dont let it get dry.

  2. This was really a nice meal. I didn't want a 9x13 pan of food. I cut the recipe in thirds. I estimated 3 lbs of cooked meat from the chicken, but ended up using a 10 oz or so breast. Did not have pimento, used some sun-dried tomato that I chopped. Also had no mushrooms, ended up not using anything instead, which was just as well, as it filled my 14 oz mini casserole dish. Also, I added fresh thyme to both the crust and the filling. I baked it longer than indicated, as I got distracted, but it was not at all dry. Somewhat souffle like in texture. I think you could omit the crust, just grease the pan.
