  1. No more Manwich! This is much tastier and healthier. I omitted the curry powder and added 2 tablespons of sugar and 2 tablespoons of vinegar. My family gobbled it up. I gave the recipe to my sister and her family loved it too.

  2. Good stuff. This is a nice basic sloppy joe recipe that uses stuff I usually have around. Quick and easy to make. Thanks for sharing this recipe, Katrina.

  3. I'll never buy Manwich again! These were the best sloppy joes I've ever had. The only thing I did differently was add some brown sugar to tone the tomato sauce down a little. Thanks for the recipe!!!

  4. This was excellent. I know sloppy joes are supposedly not at the top of the culinary food chain, but we love em and these were just terrific. I wouldn't change a thing.

  5. Yay! Finally a sloppy joe recipe that doesn't have sugar in the recipe. We like a spicier sloppy joe and this is the one. My husband said it's way better than the packaged stuff and he's right. I used cumin instead of curry (just a matter of preference) and 1 tbsp of chili powder. We had it on hamburger buns with grated cheddar cheese. Yummy!

I love to cook and started cooking about 30 years ago. I love the old recipes, I can't stand the ones that require me to go to exotic markets for the ingredients. Love my crockpot.
