This is an herbal mixture that is as varied as the cooks who make it. I like this one because it is very simple and does not have fennel.
- 1 1⁄2 tablespoons dried thyme
- 1⁄2 tablespoon dried rosemary
- 3 bay leaves, crumbled
- 1 1⁄2 tablespoons dried basil
- 1 tablespoon dried savory
- Mix ingredients together.
This was good. I used this on Recipe #237965 I have never had this combination of herbs before. I got the herbs in the bulk spices/herbs section at the grocery store. It cost a lot less money that way. The combination smells really good together, especially on the potatoes while baking.I am going to keep this recipe on hand and try it on other things. This is a great version of Herbes de provence for those who prefer no lavender or fennel. I have been using it in a few things where those flavors would not fit as well.
