    Folks in Sicily keep it easy and fresh. A few ingredients but major taste! The combination of basil, oranges and red onions is a classic.

    Ingredients:

    Directions:

      Peel and section oranges, cut each section in half.
    2. 2
      peel red onion and slice it thinly.
    3. 3
      tear basil leaves into bite size pieces.
    4. 4
      drizzle with red wine vinegar ( you may use more or less than 1/4 C depending on taste).

      salt and pepper.
    6. 6
      Serve immediately.

      I added avocado, since I had a lot of them that I needed to use up. I personally would prefer it with the addition of either avocado or some fruity olive oil. Great recipe; thanks for posting!
