a simple variation of hush-puppies.
- 1 medium onion
- 1 medium potato
- 1 1⁄2 lbs shrimp, raw
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄4 teaspoon pepper
- peel and de-vein shrimp.
- In food processor or grinder, grind onion potato and shrimp together.
- stir in egg, salt and pepper. batter must be thick.
- heat about 2 or 3 cups of oil in medium skillet to about 360 degrees F.
- drop by spoonfulls into hot oil, fry until golden turning once or twice.
