A quick and easy side dish
Make and share this Sauteed Asparagus recipe from Food.com.
- 1⁄2 cup water
- 1 lb asparagus, trimmed
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1⁄2 lemon, juice of
- 1⁄8 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄8 teaspoon pepper
- Bring water to a boil in a large saute pan. Add asparagus and blanch for 2 minutes. Transfer asparagus to a plate and pour off the water.
- Melt butter in the pan over medium heat. Add asparagus and saute 1 - 2 minutes, tossing to coat.
- Squeese lemon over asparagus; season with salt and pepper.
I steamed my asparagus instead cooking it in water. I then followed the recipe as written. We all enjoyed this as a side dish.
