Questions & Replies

  1. Did this recipe change??? I’ve had this recipe “pinned” and used for years and now it’s changed. How do I find the original?

Reviews

  1. The sausage quiche recipe I normally use is very rich as it calls for evaporated milk which I didn't have on hand so I searched and found this recipe using milk instead. I was skeptical about using milk and only two eggs but the end result was a quiche that was soft, creamy, and perfect! The crust was not soggy and everyone in my family enjoyed. I too sauteed the onions with the sausage and added a little Italian seasoning, black pepper, and garlic powder just because of personal preference. Now that I know you can achieve the same results with milk, I may not use the other recipe again and save a few cents by not having to buy the evaporated milk.

  2. This is sooo good!! DH and I could have eaten the whole thing for dinner, but exercised a little self control...so had the leftovers for breakfast! I sauteed my onions with the sausage and pre-baked the pie crust for 10 minutes. It was cooked perfectly and the crust was crisp. Will be making again!! Made for AUS/NZ Recipe Swap #46.

  3. This was absolutely delicious! I added onion, red bell pepper, garlic and green onion sauted in butter instead of onion only. I also used shredded velveeta and pepper jack cheese instead of cheddar. I found this recipe after I purchased all the ingredients I thought I would need. A in my book. Oh and it was very easy to make.

  4. Practically made itself and I just put in my request for self-washing dishes. Well, they did put a man on the moon, didn't they? Made for Everyday Is A Holiday.

  5. Added kale, used 3 eggs and one cup of milk, 1 cup cheddar, 1/2 cup Swiss cheese, a dash of cayenne pepper, freshly ground black pepper and Himalayan salt. Was excellent

Tweaks

  1. I added garlic, some red and green peppers, about 1/2 cup of fresh parsley and some salt and pepper to the egg and milk mixture. Sauteed the sausage, onions, garlic and peppers before placing in pie. Also pre-baked the pie shell for 10 minutes.

  2. I added spinach I also baked it for 10 min before adding everything else

  3. Added kale and seasonings, 3 eggs and 1 cup of milk instead of 2 eggs and 2/3 cups of milk

  4. I added green peppers. My family loved it!

  5. This recipe was really easy, quick, and very flavorful. I used Italian Seasoning instead of parsley since that was all I had. I didn't pre-bake my crust (I used a deep dish one), but it did not turn out soggy. It turned out perfect and pretty much looks like the one in the picture.
