Sarah's Vegan Chocolate Cake

"A friend of mine is a vegan chef and she created this recipe. This is a moist, incredibly rich tasting cake! It's the only chocolate cake recipe I use! Tastes great with a nice fudgy icing."

ingredients

• 2 1⁄2 cups flour
• 3⁄4 cup cocoa
• 1 1⁄3 cups sugar
• 2 teaspoons baking soda
• 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
• 1⁄4 cup oil
• 1⁄4 cup applesauce
• 2 1⁄3 cups water
• 1⁄4 cup vinegar

directions

1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
2. Mix wet and dry ingredients separately then add wet to dry ingredients. Mix until all wet. Pour into 9 x 9 greased pan. Bake for 45-55 minutes.
