My mum got this recipe off a friend of hers years ago. They are really nice and easy to make. I'm not sure where the recipe came from originally.

  1. Put butter, sugar, milk, soda and syrup into a pot and melt.
  2. Add vanilla and cool slightly.
  3. Add flour and sultanas.
  4. Roll into balls and place on a greased baking tray. Flatten slightly.
  5. Bake at 180º for 10-12 mins.
