directions

  • Chop the rhubarb and divide it between two 1-liter jars. Add 3/4 cup sugar to each jar, put the lids on and shake well. Unclip the lids and pour 2 1/4 cups of vodka into each to fill.
  • Close the lids, put the jars somewhere cool and dark for at least 6 weeks and up to 6 months. If you remember, shake the jars every day or every other day for the first month or so.
  • Strain into a pitcher, then pour into a bottle.

  1. Best schnapps ever! This is soooo dangerous, I could drink the whole bottle myself. Mixes real well with Sierra mist, sprite. I was really pleased with the results, now I just have to find more rhubarb to make more, as my rhubarb looks as if it has died. Mine sat for 3 months before I bottled it and tried it, smoothest drink I ever had...like I said....dangerously good.

  2. I have a similar recipe for Rhubarb Liqueur...and it's sooooo yummy!! I let mine sit for six months before trying it.
