This didn't really taste like lasagna to us, but it was very good nonetheless. Served with garlic bread using recipe #129247. Made for a quick and super easy lunch. Made for Spring 2012 My 3 Chefs.

Ingredients Nutrition

  • 1 lb Italian sausage, casings removed
  • 1 (26 ounce) can spaghetti sauce
  • 3 cups uncooked campanella pasta, cooked according to package & keep warm
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese, divided


  1. Cook sausage over medium high heat in a 10-inch skillet until crumbled and no longer pink; drain.
  2. Blend in spaghetti sauce.
  3. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  4. Remove from pan; keep warm.
  5. Place half of the cooked pasta in bottom of the skillet.
  6. Pour half of sausage sauce mixture over pasta.
  7. sprinkle with 1 cup mozzarella cheese.
  8. Top with remaining pasta, sausage sauce and mozzarella.
  9. Cover and cook over medium heat for about 5 minutes or until heat through and cheese is melted.
  10. Remove from the heat and let it stand for about 1 minute before serving.
