This is a great pie. Quick and easy. You can make it in a 9 x 13" inch pan and alternate flavors for a party pie. It's a no-bake pie too so no need to heat up the kitchen. For a light version use sugar free, fat free ingredients.
- 2 (6 ounce) containers yogurt (i.e. lemon, lime, orange or strawberry)
- 1 (3 ounce) package Jello gelatin (same flavor as the yogurt)
- 1 (8 ounce) container Cool Whip Topping
- 1 premade graham cracker pie crust
- Combine jello with yogurt.
- Fold in cool whip.
- Pour into graham cracker crust and chill or freeze.
Super Super easy, my sister made this when I was at her house last week, her's was lime with a chocolate crust (Yummy!!!!) I just made mine with Strawberry Yogurt and Strawberry Banana Jello. Very Easy and sooo Tasty. ***I make with the lowfat yogurt, the nonfat is sometimes thinner and might make it runny.
These take less than 5 minutes to throw together. I freeze mine for exactly 4 hours, and set them out for 15 minutes before slicing. I also use 2-(8 oz.) containers of the non fat yogurt, instead of the 6 ounces. Make a Strawberry Pie, by using strawberry yogurt, stawberry gelatin, and stawberry flavored Cool Whip.
I made this with lime flavours and it tasted just like key lime pie. The problem I seemed to have was that it was very liquid (it didn't gel) and the amount only fit into a round pie plate. I'm not sure why because I did follow the recipe---I'm going to try again, because I really like this idea, but maybe with two packages of jello or unflavoured gelatin?
