- 8 chicken breast halves, skinned
- 473.18 ml soy sauce
- 236.59 ml vegetable oil
- 118.29 ml vinegar
- 59.14 ml brown sugar, firmly packed
- 14.79 ml dried oregano
- 14.79 ml dried whole thyme
- 9.85 ml dry mustard
directions
- Place the chicken in a large Dutch oven. Add enough water to cover; bring to a boil. Cover, reduce heat, and simmer 15 minutes.
- Drain the chicken and place in a large shallow container. Combine the remaining ingredients, stirring well; pour the marinade over the chicken. Cover and refrigerate 4 hours, turning frequently.
- Remove the chicken from the marinade. Grill over medium coals for 10 minutes or until done, turning once.

Excellent! This chicken came out moist and a delightfully tasty. The flavor was there, not wimpy nor too much. Followed all as directed, but towards the end I lightly sprinkled some leftover homemade seasoning because I had to use it up. Came out perfect. Sure glad I tagged this one over at “For your Consideration tag game” at Food Friends and Fun

Great flavor! I was worried about the soy sauce being too strong but it wasn't. The flavor was delicious and my whole family loved the chicken. I did use boneless/skinless chicken breasts so I halved the cooking times. Also, since I only used 4 chicken breasts I halved the marinade. I will definitely try this method and marinade with bone-in chicken next time. Thank you for posting a winner!
