- Fry bacon until crisp, remove from pan and saute onions until translucent. Drain bacon grease.
- Boil potatoes in water and salt until fork tender - no need to drain.
- Add pepper, onions, cream of chicken soup and milk. I usually put in the crock pot at this point to heat up and keep warm.
- If rushed for time, you can heat this on the stove.
- Just before serving, add crispy bacon and sour cream.

Hi Connie, what a very good soup this is, we love soup in our house we have it every day, so it's good to have a new one to try and I am glad I did. I made this exactly as you said and made it in my crock pot and it was so nice to come home from work to a hot bowl of soup, I just work three hours so it was great timing. very tasty and I will make it again. Made for PAC Spring 2010

I retired two years ago and thought I would have more time to devote to baking and cooking - not so much. The time just goes by so fast. My husband and I enjoy traveling, spending time with family and friends and especially spending time with our three little dogs and one cat.
