A family favorite!
- 5 tablespoons butter
- 4 tablespoons flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄2 teaspoon pepper
- 6 cups milk
- 3 -4 medium potatoes, in chunks
- 1 onion, diced
- 4 stalks celery, chopped
- Combine butter, flour, salt and pepper, cook over low heat until smooth.
- Add milk, potatoes, onion and celery, cook until potatoes are tender.
- Top with grated cheddar cheese and serve.
love your soup but i cooked the onion with the celery and rue . then I cooked the potatoes by them self , then added together lol but it worked thank you for the recipe it was great
