You will need one potato for each serving...I usually fix one huge one and split it with my husband..Sometimes I sprinkle assorted favorite spices on top of butter before baking...use your favorites..

  1. scrub potato, do not peel.
  2. Cut into 1/4" slices.do not cut the potato all the way through -- should open like a fan.
  3. Place a thin slice of onion between each potato slice.
  4. Preheat oven to 400*.
  5. Sprinkle the potatoe with salt and pepper and dot with butter.].
  6. Wrap loosely in foil.
  7. Bake 1 hour or till done.
  8. Open foil carefully and remove to serving place.
