  • 1 cup rice, puffed (Murmura, mumra, mamra or Pori)
  • 14 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ghee
  • 2 teaspoons oil

directions

  • The puffed rice should be crunchy, if not, roast in 200F oven for 20 minutes.
  • Powder puffed rice coarsely.
  • Heat oil in fry pan.
  • Add sugar and stir.
  • When it turns brown, add pori and stir well.
  • Transfer to a greased or silicone pan/plate.
  • Cut into pieces.
  • Variations: Peanuts, cashews, roasted edamame, pretzels, rice crackers, wasabi peas, coconut, raisins, almonds, pecans etc etc.
  • When cool, store in a jar.
  • I can be kept for 2 weeks.
