  1. This was so yummy! I had a couple of ham steaks given to me and I'd been craving a nice holiday ham so I decided to glaze the steaks with this recipe and it hit the spot perfectly! I added some cloves and allspice just to give it a little extra kick and it came out just wonderful! I took the advice of some of the other reviewers and cooked the glaze on the stove before basting my ham steaks with it and it caramelized nicely. Very good!

  2. We LOVED this recipe. The only thing I did differently was add a bit more cornstarch and I cooked it on the stove to thicken it before I poured it over the ham. I have tried a few different glazes but ths one is the tastiest and the easiest! MY FAMILY LOVE IT - 5 STARS!!!!!

  3. The secret to success of this recipe is to cook it on the stove beforehand. That and double up on the corn starch so it thickens. This is very good!

  4. Glaze was very thin - I added more cornstarch. Also the recipe should specify the baking temperature!!

  5. Even with the cornstarch, this glaze was so thin that it didn't stay on the ham. I used on a ham slice under the broiler. I poured on one side, broiled, flipped and re-poured twice really hoping to get a nice coat. When the ham was done, the pan was filled with liquid, virtually no glaze left on ham.

  1. i like this because there's lots of room to spice it up. i used Orange Juice instead of water, added cloves and cinnamon too.
