Peanut Butter and Tuna

"I swear its good. I eat it at least once a week and have to stop myself from eating a second one. They are sooooo good. My kids like it with ritz cracker rather than bread. Amounts are approximate, if you want more or less of anything, do it. I just posted a typical serving size of each item, I never measure."

directions

  • Toast bread if desired. I like it lightly toasted.
  • Meanwhile, mix the tuna and the mayo together to make tuna salad.
  • Spread half the peanut butter on one side of one slice of bread and top with tuna salad.
  • Spread one side of the other slice of bread with the remaining peanut butter and place it over the tuna, peanut butter side down.
  • Cut in half if desired and enjoy.
  • You can mix things up a little by adding some relish to the tuna or add some crunch with slices of cucumber (cucumber and peanut butter is another favorite sandwich), onion, or diced waterchestnuts.

  1. Thank you. My 14 yo brain decided I wanted to try something new, I had a huge craving for peanutbutter and tuna sandwhich and I had the horrible idea to combine these. So to not ruin my meal I looked up a recipe so I won’t mess ANYTHING up. This is very good 10/10 ?? but you will lose all of your friends. Very good

  2. I like mine with a slice of American cheese; the peanut butter needs to be chunky, the freshest white bread you can get. I’ve been eating this for 42 years.

  3. I like mine made with Miracle Whip, a hard boiled egg, a little celery salt and pepper, a little pickle relish. I have been doing this for years, not only delicious, extremely good for you.

  4. People never quite look at me the same when I confide that this is a legitimate love of mine, but everything about this is divine.

  5. I thought I invented this in college. I was hungry and broke. I had two slices of bread, some peanut butter, some mayo, and some tuna. I had 3 classes in a row and needed to maximize my meal. I slathered on on PB, mixed some tuna and mayo, mashed both sides together, cringed, bit, smiled. Couldn't believe it was that good.
