Oven Lovin' Barbecued Ribs!

"This is everyone's favorite that I make. Oddly enough, it is also the easiest to prepare! The barbecue sauce is what makes this dish so memorable. My in-laws line up at the door when they know I am making this!"

directions

  • Bring water to a boil.
  • Add ribs, one by one; add salt.
  • Boil for about 1 hour, making sure the pot doesn't froth over too much! (When I do that, the next time I turn on my stove it smokes and it is stinky!)
  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Remove ribs from water.
  • Place ribs in a 9 by 4 inch glass baking pan.
  • Pour the barbecue sauce evenly over the ribs.
  • Bake for 20 to 30 minutes.

  3. We had these for dinner last night with Western Style Bone in Pork Ribs (big and meaty). I used a pressure cooker to boil for 20 minutes instead of one hour. After boiling, I pulled the bones out. That was the only way they were going to fit (crammed) into a 9x4ish pan. Then, I poured Jack Daniels smokey honey BBQ sauce over the top and was pleased that there was not extra room in my pan so that the BBQ sat on top of the ribs nicely. After cooking for 30 minutes (covered with foil) these were very very moist and tender and the best oven BBQ ribs I have ever made. I have been looking for a good BBQ rib recipe for months and not one except this one fits the bill for taste, tenderness and moistness. Thank you so very much for a new Tried and True favorite!

  5. Wow. Just wow! I'll admit to being skeptical about boiling the ribs (boneless) first. Didn't sound yummy. And I did read the other reviews - took someone's advice about adding the onion powder. I have a fast family recipe for BBQ sauce that I used...but this is definitely my new method for ribs. I'll say it again...Wow!
