Orange Spice Tea Mix

"Similar to Russian Tea Mix. This one is tried and true for all that have tried it Tried other similar recipes but most had lemonade mix and to me it just didn't taste right. My daughter makes this up as Christmas gifts with a mug.."

  1. This was exactly the recipe I was wanting. It's super easy and very good!

  2. This is the exact same recipe that four generations of my family has used, year after year in winter time. It’s absolutely wonderful tea, SO easy to make, and ALWAYS reminds me of home and family. Last year (and we have plans for it this year as well) my daughter and I get my very biggest metal bowl out (which is about as big around as a manhole cover), gather and quadruple all the ingredients listed, and then scoop it up into a couple of cases of Mason jars (which, incidentally, are on sale at Walmart right now ??). Then we use various fabric pieces (Christmas themed or not, doesn’t matter) from the sale bin in the sewing section of Walmart to put between the caps and the screw on lids, cutting around the edges with zig-zag scissors, make tie on tags listing the ingredients and the directions to make the tea, and attach to each jar. Talk about a great Christmas gift idea! Everyone LOVED them last year, and we can’t wait to do it again this year. We make a whole Saturday out of it, and end up with around 45 gifts for our family and friends (after snagging plenty for ourselves, cause we ain’t no dummies). This recipe will go down as one of my absolute favorite childhood memories ??

  3. We do love ice tea, whether made from scratch of from blending several kinds of mixes, as with this recipe! It has been a long time, though, since I had any Tang in my cupboard, but it's there now! Made this pretty much as given, & we were pleased with the result, but then we do love ice tea, as I said, & most of the time we do love it sweet, as we did with this! [Made & reviewed for one of my adoptees in this fall's round of Pick A Chef]

  4. I used Nestea Iced Tea Mix with Lemon for the instant tea. There was so little tea in the Nestea, that when the drink was made, it made me wish for more tea flavor and less sugar. This was made for Preemie Care Center during Fall 2011 PAC
