2. Hello Douglas, I am trying to recreate a recipe from my childhood. Yours is the very closest I can come . In my minds eye I can see my Aunt Doris and my Gram making this . I have a very clear memory of them adding flour after the elbow were tossed in butter then tossing the elbow in the flour then adding the cheese and milk . Are you familiar with such a recipe?thanks Kathy

 1. Wonderful Mac & Cheese recipe!!! For me this is a total comfort food and really hit the spot for our lunch. I made a scaled back version to serve the two of us. But when the kids are home for the holidays, will make the full version and this time shred my own sharp cheddar cheese (don't think the bag of shredded cheeses tastes the same). Like CharlotteJ stated, very simple, but to me simple is best most of the time!! Thanks for sharing your recipe. Made for PAC Fall 2012.

 2. This is my Mom's recipe to a 'T' and for years I have tried to make it exactly as she did.....NOW I have the recipe. The best comfort food in the world. It is simple to make - fixed half just now and it's perfect! Cooked 50 minutes. Thank you so much for sharing this recipe. I could not be happier.

There is something wonderful in finding a recipe that tastes just exactly like it did as a child.
ahhhhh
