This recipe is one of my Mom's from many years ago. I don't know where she got it, but she swore by it and so do I. Very flaky (or short as my Dad used to say)

Directions

  1. Mix flour, salt and shortening using a pastry blender.
  2. Combine the egg, water and vinegar and pour into flour mixture all at once.
  3. Combine ingredients with your hands until soft dough forms.
  4. Roll out on floured surface.

This recipe is foolproof...I have even substituted non hydrogenated shortening for regular and still comes out perfect. Thankyou for posting it!
