ingredients
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1⁄4 cups shortening
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 egg (well beaten)
- 1⁄4 cup water
- 1 tablespoon vinegar
directions
- Mix flour, salt and shortening using a pastry blender.
- Combine the egg, water and vinegar and pour into flour mixture all at once.
- Combine ingredients with your hands until soft dough forms.
- Roll out on floured surface.

<p>I have been living in SC for 18 years now and absolutely love it. I was born and raised in WV where I learned to cook from some of the best cooks I have ever known, my Mom, her Mom, my Aunt Margie, Aunt Charlotte and Great Aunt Blanche. The men in the family often said they were blessed with the best cooks. I am trying to keep the family tradition going. I love to cook and of course eat too. I have many cookbooks, some very old and formerly used by some of the ladies above. Right now I am having a lot of fun with Tyler's Ultimate cookbook especially since I got to meet Tyler Florence and have him sign it for me :)</p>
