Nanny's Ranger Cookies

READY IN: 45mins
Recipe by staceyelee

This is one of the many recipes from my grandmothers cookbook. She passed away in May of 2005 and I am recording her wonderful recipes for my family and the many generations that will follow. I hope you enjoy her recipes as much as we do. I have not made each one yet-so cooking time and servings may not be posted on some. Blessings from FOURMRANCHWIFE in Texas

FANTASTIC COOKIES! i made them as a thank-you for my father-in-law for helping my husband fix our roof. my MIL told me these were one of his faves and i wasn't sure what they were. i am so glad i made them because they are now one of my favorite too! the only sub was that i used butter instead of shortening. these are very similar to a cookie i remember my grandma making when i was a kid, but she didn't call them ranger cookies
