Nice tasting cookie - not too sweet but with a lot of flavor. Very easy recipe to follow too. I used butter as I had no margarine. I used my 1 1/2" cookie scoop and got 47 3" cookies. The cookies do spread so don't put too close together on cookie sheet. I used parchment paper since the instructions don't include whether to grease or not the cookie sheet. This was made for Pick A Chef fall 2007.

Great cookies, I added more spices, used butter, and more almond extract. Will make again! I doubled the batch and got almost two ice cream buckets full of 1 1/2 inch cookies. I didn't bother making balls, just squished some on the pans and baked about 7-8 minutes. My son says they taste a bit like the Amish Friendship bread I make.
