  1. Dredge pork slices in flour.
  2. Heat butter and oil in a large skillet.
  3. Brown pork in batches on both sides; remove and keep each batch warm in oven.
  4. Stir in wine or broth, water, onions, garlic and seasonings into drippings in pan.
  5. Return pork to skillet, layering if necessary.
  6. Top with mushrooms.
  7. Cover and cook on low heat for 15 to 20 minutes or until meat juices run clear.
