Mom's Banana Bread (Goes Fast!)

"My favorite banana bread I've had ever since I can remember. Love to eat in slices nice and warm with a little butter. For the chopped walnuts we use this ancient nut grinder so the nuts are all in even and small, yet tastable pieces."

  • Preheat oven to 350.
  • Mix dry ingredients together, set aside.
  • Mix butter, eggs, and sugar.
  • Add dry ingredients.
  • Gradually add sour milk, mix.
  • Add the bananas and chopped walnuts.
  • Pour batter into a greased loaf pan.
  • Bake for 25 minutes at 350.
  • Then turn oven down to 325 and bake another 30-35 minutes.
  • Cool in pan on wire rack.
